Club Day Saturday 25 July 2020
Tuesday, 21 July 2020

What is the Life Members Fund and who benefits from it?

The Fund has been created to prContinue ovide financial assistance to HPHC members to support their hockey development. This might be assistance with funding to attend a representative tournament, through to hardship allowances for individual players who without the funds support, would not be able to continue their involvement in the club.
The Fund is administered by HPHC Life Members appointed to the role. These appointed members have made a significant and long-term contribution to Howick and Pakuranga Hockey Club and the wider hockey community.

Who are our Life Members?

HPHC Board update COVID-19
Sunday, 22 March 2020

Dear Club members, families and supporters

On Wednesday 18 March 2020, we were advised by Hockey NZ and Auckland Hockey that all hockey was postponed until Saturday 2 May 2020 due to the impact of COVID-19 in NZ. The HPHC Board completely supports this decision in the interest of our community’s health and well-being.

As you will be aware, this decision has impacted on our planned programmes especially in the months of March and April. Most of the senior teams had finished trials and the selected teams were named on the HPHC website. We apologise for those remaining teams who were still being finalised this week who include Division 3 Women, Youth Boys and Juniors . We were unable to complete trials and announce these teams. We plan to confirm teams once the season restarts if not before.

As the season had only started one week into Intercity competition for the Premier Men and Women’s teams, players will not be invoiced for fees until certainty is known about the season for 2020. Thank you to all the players and parents who have made payment of their fees to date. We will hold the payments until further information is known about how much of the season will be played.

All training, coaches and managers meetings, coaching programmes and workshops are cancelled during the postponement period. We are very proud that HPHC was selected as a finalist in the Hockey NZ Annual Awards for the Club of the Year Award. The awards evening is also postponed until further notice.

I encourage you all to stay connected with our HPHC community through social media, virtual meetings and continue to keep fit and healthy. Keep yourself, family and friends informed about COVID-19 through official sources of information which include the new All of Government website Covid19 and Ministry of Health.

If you have any questions please feel free to contact our Club Captains and any Board members whose contacts are on the HPHC website https://hphockey.org.nz
Many thanks
